About
Foonas is an openembedded-based distro targeting NAS-devices, especially devices with an internal disk. foonas aims to be a good replacement for vendor software - with better tuning, more flexibility and less unwanted features.
Foonas is divided up into three distributions:
- foonas: General purpose Linux distribution for NAS devices
- foonas-em: Replacement enhanced EM mode firmware
- foonas-iscsi: Dedicated iSCSI firmware
The supported devices include:
- Buffalo LinkStation HD (MIPSel)
- Buffalo LinkStation HD (PowerPC) and Kurobox
- Buffalo LinkStation HG (PowerPC), LinkStation HS-DGL and Kurobox HG
