The current device uses what were spare hardware components the manufacturer had from the Linkstation, however the device is provided without a Hard Drive. The case is black in color and has the Kanji symbols for Kuro Box (玄箱) in silver lettering on the side panel. It has Ethernet, USB, and serial ports, and does not have a video output.
