Difference between LS1, LS2, HG, HS
If the firmware version is 1.xx then you have a ppc-based-Linkstation (LS1, HG, HS), if it is 2.xx it is an LS2 (mips).
all LS except the HG have autosensing, so no switch for changing the LAN-Port is there.
Crossover switch -> LS1 No Crossoverswitch + Firmware Version 2.xx -> LS2 No Crossoverswitch + Firmware Version 1.xx -> HG or HS
TODO: Find a difference between HG & HS. I expect differences in the webinterface (pcast & upnp)
