User 'mflint' is trying to debootstrap Ubuntu Hardy from an Ubuntu Gutsy installation. These are the rough notes which will be written up soon. (He hopes!)

dpkg -i debootstrap_1.0.8_all.deb
mkfs.ext3 /dev/sda3
mount /dev/sda3 /mnt/sda3
debootstrap --arch powerpc hardy /mnt/sda3
mount --bind /dev /mnt/sda3/dev/ (*before* chroot!)

The 'tzconfig' command has is missing in Hardy. Use:

dpkg-reconfigure tzdata
