better experience using simple clean lubricate

New page

I would like to share my experience in fixing upcoming fan noise after my LS2 (mipsel) running more than three years. Motivated by this article I first used the mentioned WD40 lubricate. It reduced the noise very good ... but only for three days. Then the fan noise became again as loud as before. Then I did a 2nd try using simple clean lubricate as used for sewing machines (called in German ''Nähmaschinenöl''). Fortunately the fan is running nearly silently as a new LS2 for many weeks now. -- [[User:Marcel|Marcel]] 12:56, 4 January 2008 (CST)
