Motivated by this article I first used the mentioned WD40 lubricate. It reduced the noise very good ... but only for three days. Then the fan noise became again as loud as before. Then I did a 2nd try using simple clean lubricate as used for sewing machines (called in German ''Nähmaschinenöl'').
