I have several questions on hacking the Terastation. Maybe we can add a "questions & answers" page in the Wiki?
- I want to avoid soldering. Is it possible to become root without serial console?
- Is the flash disk removable so that I can modify its content? If not, is it still possible to access the flash disk's content without soldering?
- Has anyone successfully replace the Terastation's firmware with a different Linux system (e.g. Debian/PPC)?
- Can I install or replace Linux applications on the Terastation? (E.g. the slim server or similar media server applications.)
