Overview Custom Firmwares

Please update the custom firmware overview as appropriate: http://nas-central.org/index.php/Custom_firmwares Thank you, --Hinnerk 11:51, 3 December 2007 (CST)

I updated the custom firmwares page on 21 Novermber '07. I was not sure about the Home Server (HS) box but basically all of the powerpc boxes are supported except for the TS boxes. --RussK 21:30, 3 December 2007 (EST)

UBoot

uboot for the linkstation: This pages mentions that <quote> Do not attempt to use this port of U-Boot on a the LinkStation version 2 (HD-HLAN-2) as it uses a MIPS processor which is completely different from the PowerPC processor used in the LinkStation version 1.</quote> - So is there a version that can be used with a version 2 linkstation? --Hinnerk 11:28, 3 December 2007 (CST)

If you are asking if there is uboot for the LS2, I suggest reading the forum thread here: LS2 Uboot + kernel thread. If you are wanting gentoo on the LS2, I am not aware of it. This wiki page is for powerpc boxes, denoted by "PPC", maybe we should make it clearer in the first paragraph(?) --RussK 21:35, 3 December 2007 (EST)
