| + | If you are asking if there is uboot for the LS2, I suggest reading the forum thread here: [http://forum.nas-central.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3769 LS2 Uboot + kernel thread]. If you are wanting gentoo on the LS2, I am not aware of it. This wiki page is for powerpc boxes, denoted by "PPC", maybe we should make it clearer in the first paragraph(?) --[[User:RussK|RussK]] 21:35, 3 December 2007 (EST) | ||

| + | : Ok, my mistake, i'm still just getting aquainted with the language and abbreviations involved here. I actually want to get a Linkstation Live or Pro V2 soon. Which is guess is "arm9" not PPC. I noticed that i always have this problem, that i need to figure out if an article or a section apllies to my (future) specific box. Maybe i can create some templates to be added to an article which immediately show which machines it applies to. --[[User:Hinnerk|Hinnerk]] 07:06, 4 December 2007 (CST) | ||

uboot for the linkstation: This pages mentions that <quote> Do not attempt to use this port of U-Boot on a the LinkStation version 2 (HD-HLAN-2) as it uses a MIPS processor which is completely different from the PowerPC processor used in the LinkStation version 1.</quote> - So is there a version that can be used with a version 2 linkstation? --Hinnerk 11:28, 3 December 2007 (CST)

Are the subsections to be exectued sequentially? Or are these alternatives? If so, which is the crtieria that makes the distiction? --Hinnerk 11:23, 3 December 2007 (CST)
