please, are you able to confirm this settings? (From memory: Pin1 is Vcc, Pin2 is GND, Pin3 is RxD, Pin4 is TxD, but I'd have to check to be sure.). do i also need to dismount the resistors for using J1?

i just tried but the max3232 chip on my levelshifter run very hot. and the terastation does not start. there was a shortcut i guess.
